JOURNALISTIC PRACTICE TASK
Reflection:
To practice interview skills, I set up a very quick interview with a peer in my class that was given a random interesting fact. The goal was to get them to open up and share that fact. What I found is that I need to create questions to help the interviewee open up more in order to get a story out of them that is engaging and compelling.
When interviewing the subjects for my documentary, I will research further into the topic areas and build questions that will lead to a wider discussion of the subject.

JOURNALISTIC PRACTICE TASK
Alex Wiley works at a Film and Photography Production company, shooting a range of subjects from portraits to landscapes and then retouching and editing them in the office to send off to clients. But, in his free time, he prefers a broader subject.
Q: What do you love most about your job?
A: I love the photography aspect. I love working with cameras.
Q: What’s your favourite photo that you’ve taken?
A: I once took this photo of like outer space (…) and this shooting star came past and then another one came and it was, it was pretty cool.
Q: Where do you post all of your content?
A: I like to keep it to myself. Just, all on my phone.
Q: What subject do you like to shoot the most and why?
A: Interesting things in the sky. I love taking photos of satellites. I’ve got like 20 plus models. Just something about satellites interests me - taking photos of the Earth from above is cool.
